Become part of EMpower's Hummingbird Group by setting up your monthly donation!

The Hummingbird Group is a collective of committed monthly givers on a mission to improve the lives of youth in emerging market countries. Through a monthly donation, you will have an amazing impact on the lives of youth, helping them to reach their full potential. Recurring donations enable us to commit to our grantee partners in the long-term. Learn more about our work here.
100% of your donation goes where it’s needed most
A group of generous Underwriters pay for all our operational costs, including any credit card fees connected to your donation. This means that if you pay $100, we make up the $3 fee so that 100% of your donation goes straight to those who need it most.

Leaving no one behind in the recovery from COVID-19
Your donation is even more crucial as we support our grantee partners and the young people they work with to recover from the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. Marginalised young people are amongst the most likely to be left behind when the world recovers from COVID-19. The Hummingbird Group will help EMpower to support our partners through and beyond the pandemic – building a more equitable recovery for vulnerable young people in a changed world.

“I’m very happy with how Melel responded to the pandemic, with their help providing hygiene materials and they opened a space for the students who continued studying. They were also there with emotional support, always asking how I’m doing, how my family is. That’s been the most beautiful.” Dulce, 18 years old,

"I started using my voice, my writing, to educate young girls in my community about life, the world out there, and their potential. When I look at these girls’ faces and see the sparkle in their eyes, I know that I have a purpose and that I’m doing what I was meant to do. I want the best for them and if we all just keep on believing in them, we can help them get through whatever challenges they have, and not give up on them." Audery, 21 years old,
