Barclays is running 600km for EMpower this month!
EMpower - The Emerging Markets Foundation is a global philanthropic foundation focused on marginalised youth in emerging market countries.
They partner with local, community-based organizations in 15 EM countries that enable young people’s successful transition into productive, healthy adulthood, developing the next generation of leaders.
Barclays have taken up the challenge to raise funds for this amazing charity and learn more about their incredible work in supporting youth.
This month we will be challenging ourselves to walk or run 600km! At UM Rio, for young people in favelas, the closest university is about a 16km roundtrip. Can you join us in replicating their journey by walking or running 600km this month?

Your donation help young people from around the world, and donation could assist young people in Turkey by:
- £100 helps 8 young people gain knowledge on how to prevent violence (sexual, emotional, and dating violence), sexual reproductive rights, and consent.
- £250 will help 1 young women gain vocational training to prepare them for teaching in rural classrooms.
- £500 helps to create a safe and supportive environment for 4 girls to receive a quality education and reach their full potential.
